Description Ginama-an means “man made”, this site is a man-made tyre reef. This site is one of the best dives in Dauin. The artificial reef houses all types of awesome critters throughout the field of tyres. The most obvious and prolific “muck” animal here are the frogfish, mostly adorning the sponges found entangled throughout the tyre structures. A lot of cool crustaceans can also be found among the corals and sponges on the artificial reef. There is also many of the typical reef fishes that you would expect to find at a reef. The site is a little further from shore than most other sites and generally only done as a boat dive.
After ascending the gradual sandy incline to the safety stop many sea horses, mostly Thorny Seahorses, can be found in the sponges in the grass of sea beds. There are also Frog Fishes and pipehorses hiding amongst the seagrass.
