Points of Interest Artificial Reef, Frogfish Frogfish frogfish!
Thalatta Beach is one of the best muck dives on the coast. It is also a very large site. It can be done as up to three different sites. This is a macro photographers dream. The frog bog as we like to call it has the most frog fish of just about anywhere on the planet, and probably the most diversity of frogfish species as well. I have photographed 36 frogfish in one dive and saw many others.
But its just not frogfish. You do not know what else you may see on a dive here. There are some artificial reef here, mainly tyres, but also a concrete structure that contains a lot of various fish. All the favourite muck diving critters can be found here, Various Octopus, Ghostpipe fish, and lots of awesome crustaceans, including Sawblade shrimp, and tiger shrimp.
This is a true muck dive with very little to no coral at all. The site can experience some very strong currents.
